Workpackage description
WP4
The structural properties of QDs and spacer as well as buffer layers are of importance for the transducer properties, investigated in detail in WP4. Here, the electric field dependent emission characteristics of QD ensembles will be analyzed using the test structures schematically shown in (1.1.2) and sensitivities as well as resolution limits for hydrogen detection in gaseous and pH-measurements in liquid environments will be determined.
  • Task 4.1 Fabrication of QD and ND test structures and transducers (JLU, WSI)
  • Task 4.2 Characterization of dependence of luminescence characteristics on electric fields (WSI)
  • Task 4.3 Measurement of the luminescence response of the transducer structure to H2 and CHx in gases and the pH-response in electrolytes and test-fluids (WSI, EADS-IW)
  • Task 4.4 Simulation of emission characteristics vs. surface potential of GaN and InGaN quantum structures (subcontracted)
